Hyderabad Biriyani in Chennai
For sometime, i have been thinking about writing about the so called “Hyderabad Biriyani” available in Chennai.
It’s been two years since I came from Hyderabad, till now I haven’t come across a single hotel serving the authentic Hyderabad Biriyani including the one near Ethiraj College. These days lot of hotels in Chennai flash attractive signboards saying HYDERABAD BIRIYANI. To my disappointment, i never had Hyderabadi biriyani nor Chennai Biriyani in these hotes. Even some Andhra Hotels serving Hyderabad Biriyani in Chennai are huge disappointment. Recently a new Hotel near T. Nagar bus stand was opened exclusively for Hyderabad Biryani, and my goodness, it’s horrible.
So my search for Hyderabadi biriyani continues in Chennai. The following is what I am searching for…
If you guys find this in any restaurant serving in Chennai, do informe me.

THE BIRYANI ARE OF TWO TYPES ONE WHICH I SERVED IN THE HOTELS AND ANOTHER IS THE MAIN AND THE REAL BIRYAN CALLED THE — DUM KI BIRYANI— WHICH CAN BE ONLY BE MADE BY
THE REAL COOK OF HYDERABAD SUCH AS CHOOTA PASHU, BADA PASHU, TAHER, AND IMTIAZ THESE ARE THE REAL COOKS AND THEY CAN MAKE THE REAL BIRYANI…. THE REAL DUM KI BIRYANI CONTENTS THE REAL BASMATHI NAFEES RICE,
MEAT WITH BONES,
CURD, PEPPER, JO JOTRI, DHANIA, PUDANIA, HERI MIRCHI, DESI GHEE, LOONG, ELACHI, GARAM MASALA AND SPECIAL BIRYANI MASALA, REAL ZAFRAN, AND REAL KESAR.
YOU WONT GET THE REAL HYDERABADI BIRYANI IN THE HOTELS .

It is so disappointing that they do so…advertising that it’s hyderabadi biryani and disppoint you by giving ambur briyani
i read from someone that tandoor in quality inn aruna serves it…yet to try…
shall update when i visit tandoor!
meanwhile if someone visits tandoor pls update all of us here

i agree with what you said about hyd biryani.
if we want to find such thing like in the photograph we have to travel to hyd only!!!!!
